Are you looking for one-to-one art tutoring for a child or young person?
I offer personalised, supportive art sessions designed to help children and young people explore creativity, build confidence, and express themselves in a safe and nurturing environment.
I am a local artist and creative practitioner based in Melton Mowbray. Alongside my professional art practice, I deliver creative sessions for young people, with a particular focus on emotional wellbeing, self-expression, and confidence-building through visual arts.

Currently providing one-to-one art tutoring for a child in foster care
These one-to-one art sessions are tailored to the individual and may include:
Painting and drawing techniques
Mixed media exploration
Sketchbook development
Creative confidence building

Emotional expression through visual arts
Sessions are designed around the child or young person’s interests, needs, and pace. There is no pressure to “be good at art” — the focus is on exploration, self-expression, and feeling supported to help them:
Express emotions in a non-verbal way
Develop self-confidence
Build trust and positive relationships
Experience calm and focus
Strengthen identity and self-esteem
I have experience working with children and young people, as well as youth and care workers in a variety of settings. My services may be particularly beneficial for:
Children in foster care
Adopted children
Young people experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties
Children who have experienced trauma
Young people needing additional creative or emotional support
I understand the importance of stability, trust, and consistency when working with vulnerable young people, and I prioritise creating a calm, reliable, and supportive space.
"Ever since we started working with Ellie she has brought artistic wonder and excitement to our home; she is creative and adaptable to the needs of the child she works with; she provides a safe and fun session that allows the young person to explore, to be productive without any pressure. Ellie has opened up opportunities and her superpower is to get to know the people she is working with and to make her time with them a highlight of the week." H. Foster
